For Buyers: The following horses are for sale and will be exhibited at the Central States Curly Show and/or Trail Ride. Throughout the show the owners of these horses will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. If interested, we encourage you to contact the seller in advance to arrange a time to meet that will not conflict with their classes.

If you are currently shopping for or just curious about purchasing a curly, we recommend the 20 minute DVD "The Incredible Curly Horse" as a visual introduction to the breed. Available for just $8 from Curly Horse Country. If you are looking for a curly of a specific type or training level, contact us and we will add you to the "Curlies Wanted" list below.

 


TD's I Love Lucy
7 year old, Chestnut, 15.1 hand mare by D&T's Rain Maker. Suspected homozygous. Restarted under saddle this spring with 30 days professional training (will have 60 by show date, unless sold sooner), suitable for experienced rider or assertive intermediate working with trainer- great personality, just needs miles under saddle with a kind but firm rider to be beginner safe.

Nakiska's (Ruby) Blush
(ABC-S-585) 5-27-2000. Ruby is a 7 year old straight coated chestnut mare that stands 14.2. She has a flaxen mane and tail and flaxen half pasterns. The only white mark on her is a thumb print on her forehead. Ruby spent 2 months with a professional natural horsemanship trainer. She yields well to leg pressure, turns with direct and indirect rein, side-passes and has a great stop. She has been raised around dogs and cattle, tractors and 4 wheelers. She has great ground manners and stands quietly while being saddled. Ruby is wormed on a regular schedule and her vaccinations are current. Ruby has been ridden English and Western. This mare is very sweet!

Born March, 1998. Mare. Very dark brown, almost black. 14.3 HH. Very stocky! Very curly! Registered ABCR as 3/4 ABC. Has excellent ground manners. 60 days of profesional saddle training last year. Enjoys trail riding, quiet on trails. Smooth trot.

For Sellers: The following individuals and families are currently in the market to buy a curly and will be attending the Central States Curly show. The management makes no guarantee of a sale, these listings are provided as a courtesy to those with multiple sale horses to exhibit, to help determine which horses to bring.

1. Gaited curly, straight or curly. Over 14.2 hands. Any age, any training level- though must be docile and well socialized if young horse.

2. Ungaited. Curly for allergic adult beginner. 15h or taller. Experienced riding horse preferred though a well started, calm horse will be considered.

3. Pony Curly. Must be kid-broke.
